Russian (It kicks ass, yo.)
French (Ive already started studying it, and I like talking to people in a non-native language. Until I can make my Russian superawesome, French is the only language I can say I speak conversationally. Well, I havent had deep conversations in French, but I have asked about video games and ordered food and I can definitely read and write so nya!)
Icelandic - (I love Iceland. Icelandic is beautiful. Icelanders have a weirdly strong presence on the internet. Icelandic is closely related to Old Norse and a bit father away from the other Scandinavian languages, therefore allowing for kickass mutual intelligibility. Iceland has awesome cake. Also BJORK and DISNEY MOVIES and POKEMON. Its also renowned for being incredibly difficult/irregular/just plain weird/whatever and I love an Iceland-related challenge >D)
Hindi (Exploring the other side of Indo-European languages. Cool script, one of most spoken languages in the world, incredibly kick-butt 8D)
Inuktitut / Navajo (? Something native to the Americas that is also widely spoken. Im all for salvage linguistics, but I want to be able to speak the language to people. Inuktitut looks particularly cool because you have cool one word sentences that make German and Russian defecate in their pantaloons).
Yoruba/Zulu/Swahili (I want something from Africa, because as a language nerd, it is my duty to say
Tagalog/Indonesian (Both are pretty well-spoken and also have some weird relation to Spanish somehow, as well as being just different from European languages, but neither the Philippines nor Indonesia attract me. Indonesia, I must admit, scares me a little. In addition, there arent many dubs for Indonesian or Tagalog, so I cant watch my precious Disney films and Ill have to find new material. Still, Indonesian has a reputation among Barry Farber for supermega easiness
Japanese (My inner otaku demands that I study Japanese at some point in my life. Will I ever get crazy mad fluency skills? Probably not. Will I be conversational? Meh. Basic skills? I doubt it. It would still be an interesting challenge, though
Arabic (Sososososo cool buuuuut really hard and weird and difficult. Still, its like a pipe dream of mine study it one day! Maybe! Who knows!)
Finnish/Estonian (Theyre so freaking weird! Also, I admit to having a fondness for Estonia in Hetalia. :3 Oh, and Ievan Polkka! Nuapurissa kuulu se polokan tahti
Basque (MOCEDADES and once again, its just a freak alien language in the middle of Europe, wtf is it doing there?)
Catalan (closely related to Spanish, materials not that difficult to find, DISNEY MOVIES IN IT or at least Pokemon, and a country that speaks it. Who knows?)
Welsh/Cornish (Cornish is sadly really rare, but Welsh has some hope. Its also insanely difficult and as cool and British as it is, I dont think I could muster the courage to deal with that monster of a language, though if I can conquer the others on this list, I think Welsh will look like a piece of delicious German chocolate cake.)
American Sign Language (Because communicating with people with disabilities is important too, ya know, plus it is completely different from the other languages. No movies, no music, just hand signals. Plus, when people ask me for ASL, I can be all like American Sign Language? Yeah, I speak it. And theyll be all like no age/sex/location and Ill be all like male/55/Lebanon and theyll be all like disconnect and Ill be all like . But anyway, I also have someone to practice with!)
Maori/Hawaiian (I was totally pumped for Maori [because I am pumped for studying anything other than my current language; wanderlust sucks, but I shall overcome!] but then I saw that it had around 100,000 speakers and that New Zealanders gave an aerial defecation about this language. I admit that that number is bigger than Inuktitut, but from what I understand Maori is dying and somebody please correct me if Im wrong. Hawaiian is cool because LILO AND STITCH but it has veeery few speakers and like 200 native speakers, which is D
